        • Henderson tends to get a lot of slagging but he really does love his horses

          • That 6/5 Cont Hill/Stateman to place was a great bet. Sure plenty were on. Were they any comments about where winner may go? Should go chasing, but Henderson might want another year hurdling?

The vibe I got from Buckley and definitely more so Nico was that the sky is the limit, didn’t want to limit his potential by putting him in a pigeon box i.e limiting him to one class of jumping?

Owner is super ambitious and wants to do things not by the book, Nicky was obviously quieter about the future

I think if he’s half as good over a fence and a year older and stronger he’ll just be a machine, they have a good yardstick on El Fab with Jonbon who looks the main threat for now in the champion chase + the current crop are getting on in age

It’s going to be very interesting seeing how this pans out.
They could run up a record sequence of CH wins if they want to.
For me it’s how he schools over fences in the summer/autumn that’s crucial.
If he takes to them welll I can see the QM next season and then stepped up in distance for the following season.
Hes a horse of a lifetime and I just Hope whatever is decided works out well.

                • Jerry McGrath claims Buckley wants to go chasing, Nicky leaning more towards staying over hurdles.
