I guess it would give him a good idea what the pecking order is at home, Then he could make a decision early regarding novice chasing for the likes of SG and State Man

If the ground stays soft I think Teahupoo is interesting. He did his best work early last season before disappointing on spring ground.

I'd say he normally sends his best Champion Hurdle horse to Newcastle over the years but agree he'd not run them against each other
