        • Theatre Native stands her ground and will debut in the Listed Mares bumper on Saturday. She’ll get some weight off the winners but that’s a big statement from HDB.

Would you be interested in the 33/1 MNH before the bumper?

Most sensible people should snap that up in all honesty. But I’ve made my bed and picked my three for that race already and I’m also not ready to start pulling any triggers yet.

Haha - asked the question, just seen the response and the 33/1 has already gone 12 minutes later.. You're moving markets!

Think I might just roll her up this weekend depending on her price...

Not my cash but I’m guessing the Twitter bandwagon has started up. She’ll get a lot of attention just because of the colours.

                  • Just having a flick through the Punchestown Grade 1 entries.

It will be very interesting to see if WPM lets Impaire Et Pass? take on Marine Nationale or sticks with Facile Vega at 2m.

you'd imagine impaire will run in the race state man won last year and facile stick to 2 miles

No reason to change things really

If they see Impaire as a Champion Hurdle horse (and I think they do), it would make sense to me if they dropped him back in trip at Punchestown and had a crack at Marie Nationale.

I agree it would definitely be the right thing to do imo. And I think IEP is very possibly next year's champion hurdle winner, if given a chance. I don't think Mullins will admit that Facile Vega isn't as good as he'd hoped though, so won't do it and we'll never find out...

Is this an inkling, something you've heard or something you've read? I've taken a lot from them calling Impaire a "big scopey sort" meaning they see his future over fences so been (relatively) hammering him for the Turners - just wondering if I've missed something and need to reassess?

                            https://www.racingtv.com/news/impair...-novice-hurdle

I've also put two and two together here and thought they'll probably keep State Man over hurdles to help keep him sound so the cogs fit quite well to avoid a chasing Constitution with State Man (CH), Impaire (Turners)

                            • ….I recall one of the Racing TV punters on the morning of the Ballymore saying now is the time to back IEP for next years CH. No idea if he had any idea of plans or whether he was backing his own judgement. He was 20-1 with PP at that point.

I disagree, Facile Vega has been beat twice on the trot over 2m, excuses or not, so I’d say it’s well worth their time sending IEP to take on Marine. It opens doors into future plans, gives them the option of Champion Hurdle or go chasing imo.

The only reason he went Ballymore was because WPM persisted with Facile Vega over 2m, which there was nothing wrong with as he beat everyone bar Marine and he never runs his 2 best against each other at Cheltenham.
