Yeah Tripoli Flyer is with Fergal but in the same race is Disguisedlimit (who is with Hobbs) and is in the OJA top 40 as one to watch over middle distance novice hurdles. He's by Mahler so doubt he'll be winning on Wednesday but one to keep an eye on. Decent maiden hurdle with the Pipe horse finishing 2nd to The Kemble Brewery last time and the Skelton horse is interesting.

    • Jonbon, Shanagh Bob, Hillcrest, Valgrand, Gale Mahler and a few other interesting ones all entered up at Cheltenham for Friday. For the last two stable tours Nicky has emphasised the fact that he won't run a novice chaser on debut at Cheltenham or Ascot so i am expecting Shanagh Bob not to go unless he is a big fibber.

I guess he could make exceptions if a horse really needs a run and the ground at Cheltenham is more suitable?
Given his recent concern about ground conditions for nov chasers.

I like that. 2m 4f with a view to stepping up presumably. It's an interesting little puzzle this with the Elliott novice chasers. Better Days Ahead will probably get the same kind of entry being with Bective Stud but the 2 main protagonists for Gigginstown in Stellar Story and Croke Park are a little puzzle on their own. I wonder if Stellar Story wins, they have a shootout before Cheltenham between the 2 and see which comes out on top. Could they both go to the BANC? The NHC now being a handicap must give him a lot of wriggle room to prepare something for that if he sees these two as graded horses.

Croke Park burst after his latest run, that would seriously worry me if I was on him. One to strike off for now imo

              • Has that been confirmed? I know there was a report of bleeding.

He didn't make any sort of errors that could have caused the bleed, so I'd say its pretty certain no?

I would say it's more than likely yeah but they do get headbutted etc every so often before, during and after racing. It's probably more in hope than anything still not the end of the world though. Don't remember him doing it before and it's pretty common so if it is vessels i hope it's a one off. The only concern i would have is he didn't have an overly hard race.

Yeah, don't not like that in any horse. Sprinter bled and obviously came back but many don't.

Ahh right, not confirmed. Yeah, could just have knocked his head especially as blood from both nostrils. Entered up again so hopefully all ok.

The key (usually) to bleeders is giving them plenty of time between runs, sending them out 2/3 weeks after a bleed is trouble....

                              • Kientzheim entered on Sunday at Cheltenham in the maiden hurdle over 2m. Think some had mentioned for the mares novice.
