Hello Fat Jockeys,
Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum
We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.
I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Hurdles form is no where near where a horse like Elfile (for the exact same connections) has achieved however she did look good on chase debut and might be a dark horse to run here?
Of course, the actual novice chases are probably more likely, but I might request a price just in case they base it on her hurdles form and she might be worthwhile.
Then again, she might just get beaten tomorrow and be nowhere near good enough....but she's at least worth posting about just in case, as she's not exactly a no hoper to beat Galvin tomorrow.
I've requested a price.

For what it’s worth Cheltenham have been punting around for a new sponsor for the Mares hurdle for about 18 months and I suspect that’s well before they even considered the new Mares chase let alone what race it would replace so I don’t think the two are linked, that said the novice handicap chase is an horrific race (for the festival) and has always been the most likely to disappear....

I’m sure all plans are fluid for 2021 after events of the last 6 months, I wouldn’t rule out ‘no change’ either...

I'm just going through my notes that I copy and paste from articles I pick up. It's a quote from Ruby with regards Benie that I copied in to my notes a while ago. Apologies, but I can't remember where it was from, but it's legit. Based on when I copied it, it would have been mid to late April I think.
"Not that I’d be afraid to take on Honeysuckle again with ‘Benie’ but with her experience over fences already, she’d be an obvious contender for the new Mares Chase. I think Honeysuckle might stay over hurdles and that would make ‘Benie’ very difficult to beat in this race".
Clearly much water to pass under the bridge, but Ruby still has plenty of influence at Closutton and with Rich Ricci too. Also this time his thinking isn't about shuffling his own rides to best effect!
Later in the same article he puts up Concertista as the one to take on Honeysuckle next year.Last edited by Spectre; 27 August 2020, 09:59 AM.Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.
