    From Racing post.

Exciting De Bromhead-trained youngster Journey With Me, also owned by Robcour, could make his eagerly anticipated hurdles bow in a 2m4f maiden hurdle at Navan on Saturday provided conditions are soft enough.

"It's possible he could start off there as long as the ground is okay for him," said the leading trainer. "He likes a nice ease in the ground."
Don't think there's any rain due in Ireland barely this week is there?

That is true so it's unlikely we'll see him out this weekend but you never know, at least he is to a point where they're happy to get his seasonal debut underway.

              • Mentioned in my diary earlier, was keeping an eye on City Chief and he ran perfectly with a view to here, running on second on debut under rules.

Top connections and he looked fairly big so will come on for the run too. Hoping he now goes Ballymore trials day at HQ as Henderson has run a couple over the years in that race then onto the Albert Bartlett. Was 25/1 so happily taken the 33/1.

Was about to come here and say the same, made up lots of ground in those last few furlongs

Was doing the same as you and had eyed up trials day for him too, pleased with what I saw think he ran a good race, bit novicey over his hurdles but that should tighten up as season goes on. Really liked how he rallied on at the end too. 33s is very tempting but might wait and see what sort of entries he gets as I don't think he should be nudged in too much.

Yeah, in the main thought he hurdled decent. I think starting over that trip is an indication to 3m in the not so distant future imo. He may only run him end of Jan and put him away (as he’s done before).

Took the price as many would probably have seen the same and the price would be gone if waiting for trials day. It’s just another one of the “big 4” horses covered for me that’s also why I’ve went in.

                      • Have to say, I thought City Chief could have won that if Bowen had placed him better at the second last - he got completely shut out trying to come up the inside of Complete Unknown. The rallying from there to the line was impressive. I also thought once he got into it, he was gaining at some hurdles against Complete Unknown, albeit his early jumping was a bit rusty. He’ll improve for that and definitely one for the tracker.

Yeah got to agree Henderson starting him at that trip does imply 3m is what he is aiming for.

I hadn't realised the 33s was about on 365 so have added half point e/w with option to cash out seems sensible as you've said lots would've taken him out of that race so price may not last as it is. Absolutely be looking to top up if he goes trials day.

                          • Boy did he get messed about in running!! More than once got blocked and squeezed. The one not long before the 2nd last (i think)particularly, did him no favours at all.
They should be well pleased with that all taken into consideration.
Could have a big future over 3m type distances.

Just to confirm. Made these last night. Spectre knows what he's talking about.

For anyone who missed it.. drizzle of olive oil. salt and pepper on the outside. Place in the oven at approx 170 degrees for approx 2 hours. Eat. Have your girlfriend tell you she hates you because you're better at making food than her, whilst her actions for the rest of the night say something completely different

Now, back to the racing. Excited to see what our boy JWM does today. Minella Indo came second to Allaho in the Clonmel 3 miler mentioned above prior to winning the AB (just in case anyone was unaware I'm expecting him to follow the MI route to the AB )
