Hoping (but far from confident) that Party Central puts in a good winning performance. She has some solid bumper form but didn't impress in winning what looks a weak maiden hurdle last time and reckon she needs a lot more to figure in this division.

Like most of Elliott's have, you'd assume Party Central would have needed her first run. Even then she still did it easily enough when asked I thought. I'd say from her baseline last season, and now she's had a run, she's hard to oppose with any confidence.
Impervious is the one that interests me most against her though. I think she's the one that's put the best performance up on the track so far. Whilst best known for Champion Hurdle winner Brave Inca, Colm Murphy knows a good mare when he sees one (Feathard Lady, Volar La Vadette, Relegate), and he doesn't tilt at windmills. So she's in here because he thinks she's good enough. He's also a very good Cheltenham target trainer, and this race is usually an indication that trainers are thinking they have a horse that may end up there. If she ends up in the Mares Novice it'll be because Murphy thinks she'll win it. She's currently 33/1 with 365 for the Mares Novice Hurdle, so with little risk getting out again, she's worth considering before the race for anyone who makes a book.
It's also worth a cursory glance at Colm Murphy's win and place strike rate at the Festival, which is nothing short of outstanding for a relatively small yard. He's had 4 winners, 3 seconds, and 6 thirds, from only a handful of horses heading over. He doesn't throw darts in any big race unless he expects to hit the bullseye.Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

Loving the thinking outside of the box Spectre. Thinking hard whether to add her. Have watched her races back and my only reservation would be she may get taken off her feet a bit going back over 2 miles in better company. That said, with AG in there, the pace will be very strong and with the ground soft as well she will be strongest at race end.

Hasnt had a winner in the UK for over 5 years, only ran Relegate in that period through.
His last winner in the UK was Empire of Dirt, who won the Plate at the Festival for him and Giggy at 16/1.
The owners repaid him for it, by removing him and putting him with Gordon, before he next ran.
Is his dramatic scaling back of operations in Ireland down to some falling out, somewhere along the line?"Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

Colm packed it in for two or three seasons. A combination of disillusionment and how hard it is to make money I believe. He came back late 2019. Relegate really the only decent horse had to start out with that first season, and just a handful of horses. I'd say he only has 20-25 horses these days. He's got an excellent eye at the sales and has done extremely well with some moderate purchases.Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

Colm Murphy, trainer of Impervious She's the unknown in the race. She hasn't done anything wrong and she seems very well. I'd like to think that she's still improving and she's definitely got a lot more professional in her work. Both of her wins have been on nice ground but I think she'll handle softer ground.
Gordon Elliott, trainer of Glan and Party Central I wouldn't like to see it get too soft for Glan but she did it well at Fairyhouse and has been in good form since. Party Central will come on a lot for winning at Listowel and we're looking forward to running her.
Willie Mullins, trainer of Purple Mountain
With her pedigree I'm not sure if all of this rain is going to suit her. She was probably fortunate enough to win on her last two starts so it's going to be a tough task for her giving the weight away.
