I can't let Burning Victory go unbacked here @ 33/1 (B365). She's 16's and 20's elsewhere, and a good showing in the Hatton's Grace could see that halve. The issue is clearly jumping, but to me she exudes raw ability and has a huge engine. She tanks through her races and travels so strongly, but is often held up ridden to beat runners. It was quite hard to assess her jumping at Galway because she was behind a wall of horses and the instructions were clearly to smuggle her into the race, as they were in the Triumph. I'd like to see them abandon those tactics and try racing her more prominently, giving her a good sight of her obstacles and if necessary, throwing her at hurdles to try and get her into more of a rhythm out in front. The Hatton's Grace might not be the place to try that though. If she takes up that engagement, I can see her running well and her price for this slowly going down and down.

Win and she goes big favourite. Being greedy, I'd like Gauloise to win and then any talk of chasing would be shelved.

Remember Mullins saying he was probably too easy on her before Cheltenham and she's a horse that needs a lot of work.

Poor reappearance that from TMSG, terms were against her but she wasn't fluent over her hurdles and didn't pick up, was 5l off leaders 2 out and beaten 10l, connections cam only be disappointed with that effort...
