It's gone now into 16/1. I got it 28/1 with boost. Looked good may be a Ballymore type

      • That was impressive. The form has an element of substance - he's beaten the runner up by about 10 lengths who had previously beat beaten by Mister Coffey, albeit handily, by 2l.
Given the turn of foot I'd keep him to the minimum distance but perhaps a bet TWAR more prudent....

        • was impressive, struck me as more of a ballymore horse, given those gears

I'd go along with this, my only cash bets on him are TWAR, with a free bet on the Supreme. So we will see.

Bookmakers currently seem to think Supreme.

            • Sounds like connections are favouring the Ballymore sadly? Thought that was a decent turn of foot in heavy ground

Wouldn't take that literally, as soon as Shishkin passed the jockey gave up and was just sat looking round making sure there was nothing sneaking up behind

Really? All the talk earlier in the year from sponsors, etc, was “Supreme” horse. Suppose Hendo has Chantry House and him, and if he rates both, you’d think they’d split them.

                    • It was on William Hill radio but haven’t read any quotes from Hendo/Nico since to confirm

                      • surely the owners will want to keep Asterion Forlonge and Shiskin apart so Shiskin supreme and Asterion Forlonge Ballymore

Saying it 'sounds like connections are favoring the Ballymore' reads like they have said as much, not the lads off William Hill radio ffs

Happy with that. Would like to see him out again before Cheltenham in deeper water but hard not be impressed with that. I wanted to see him settle which he did, and jump well (or just full stop ) which he did. Hard not to be impressed with the turn of foot he showed on heavy ground to put the race to bed.

I wouldn't read too much into chat about Shishkin Ballymore tbh.

                              • I'd be wary about Shishkin being as fast as he looked. I am not a fast runner but if the guy I was racing slowed to a slow jog and I was sprinting I would sprint away from them and look fast. Not knocking him and I hope for ones who are on him at good prices he's a machine but just something to think about
