Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

    • Do we think todays x rated performance from Shishkin will nudge Easywork a bit closer to the RSA?

I wouldn’t have had him down as a potential Arkle candidate myself in any case, despite making his chasing debut over 2m. I’d lean RSA as the likely goal myself, and Gordon’s comments after his win the last day allude to as much, sounds like he may tread a similar path to delta work.

          • I think it’s time to accept defeat with Pileon competing at this seasons festival, pulled up today after a disappointing 4th last time out. I had high hopes but it’s just not happening.

He certainly won't be competing over fences just lacks confidence as soon as a mistake is made. Wouldn't rule out a handicap hurdle run though.

Hobb's again though. His horses are sick I reckon, like they were 2 seasons ago when he had to shut down

In fairness, just looked at his stats and he's picked up over the last couple of weeks. Scrap that !

                • Apologies in advance if it has been mentioned, but as Next Destination now has a chase entry has anyone got much lined up for him or already wagered on him. I know he's been popular in the past but with the time off and turning 9 by next march i can't quite stretch my imagination to thinking a few in the Rsa wont be better than him, i could entertain the Nh chase but Nicholls only having one runner in the last half a dozen renewals that i can see plus the forum plunge on Galvin i guess it might not be too popular an idea.

The rides for Derek O'Connor, Patrick Mullins and then any Nicholls or Tizzard staying chaser still need to be 'found' for the NH Chase, Galvin is a box ticked for Elliott/Codd, but he's not over the line yet

Glad ND does have a chase entry, I did back him for RSA myself and will watch his chase debut with interest....but you're probably right, it's a stretch to see him winning it unless he's a bit of an exception.

It was a lovely return behind Roksana the other day and proves the engine is there and stayed on well to his credit, now to prove he can jump but providing he passes his first assignment(race won by Danny Whiz last year and he was touted for 4 miler but was deemed inexperienced i think) you could see a few fancy him going that route potentially.

                      • Very interesting shout Outlaw. As you say when he proves he jumps he might come into the reckoning for the NHC. Would like a nice price on him.

                        • ON RPR Shiskin recorded the same rating yesterday (160) as Arkle did for the same race.

....Next Destination 25-1 with 365 for NH Chase.

Yeah had spotted Eggs. 22s with hills for any race(can't get on) makes far more appeal given if he don't take he could go stayers route. If he does possible for RSA or dare I say it GC given his age and yard losing the TOTG dart . Early days but if declared I'll weigh up the options.

I'd actually prefer the 25s NH Chase with 365 than 22s any race.

With 365 you can get out of the bet, the any race commits you.... this far out, with a horse who has missed time in his career, I'd rather be able to ditch it than commit to having him.

The closer we got to the festival the sliding scale would shift but now, I think RSA and NH Chase with cash out are better than any race, whilst bigger prices...
