If anyone wants to feel better:

Laurina (2.5), Melon(2.5), Draconien(7), Cilaos Emery(7.5), Chacun Pour Soi(3), Getabird(2.5), Mengli Khan(2.5) have me at -28.5 pts to start this race

Left with...21 pts live on: Le Richebourg, Lalor, Paloma Blue, Duc Des Genievres, Hardline, Slate House and Voix Du Reve would all see me in the green with 50+ pts each return (plus any each way return)

Losers would be:
Glen Forsa
Kalashnikov
Defi Du Seuil
Ornua
Knocknanuss
Us And Them
Pravalguna
Anything else that runs


Stark contrast to my position in last years Arkle that's for sure :highly_amused:

I think he would if he could jump, he'll lose lengths at his fences. I wouldn't personally have him in the first 3

I don't think Paloma Blue has any form in the book to justify him winning an Arkle?

Sorry but you can't win an Arkle jumping like that not a chance in hell. He has got an engine though.
 
This has the makings of a weak renewal so widening the search is necessary, delving a little deeper than the obvious candidates might well prove beneficial....

It's all about on the day itself, Kevloaf. The horse isn't ground dependant and has a huge engine.

But there's not one piece of form that entitles him to win this race. So you're hoping for a career bets and who knows if that will even be enough......and thats providing he doesn't hit one of the fences and falls.

I think he could easily surprise and run a good race myself, and backed him last March for this.
But Not sure where you've seen evidence of the huge engine, unless you're a mechanic ? and you've recently fitted one ?
I'd say more of a 1.4 litre myself

As I just posted, he's one of my winners...but I was hoping Henry turned him into a slick jumper, and he hasn't. His big engine couldn't get him ahead of Kalashnikov, Summerville Boy or Mengli Khan.... and they're all pants?
