Hey, its the race every owner wants their horse to win, when jockeys are growing up they dream of winning a stayers hurdle, pinhookers are always looking out for the next stayers hurdle winner...stop laughing its true.

They're working on the team tactics to get the better of ballyburn as we speak. Wodhooh being sacrificed as pacemaker for teahupoo.

So Wodhooh wins today and as expected across the board shortens for the Mares Hurdle

But why did Lossiemouth also across the board shorten for the Mares Hurdle?

Nothing was said about Lossie from WM or RR interviews on the future plan apart from Lossie probably going to Leopartstown next (which is still following the 2m campaign)……and she did win by half the track today and as a result shortened as expected for the CH

So what am I missing and the bookmakers seeing/hearing??

They just know like the rest of us that one of those two will win it if they are in it so they aren't prepared to get stung. Back both and you'd still be in profit.
 
For those who have backed Wodhooh for the Stayers, 3 of last 12 winners of the Ascot Hurdle ran next in the Long Walk Hurdle back at Ascot and 3 of last 12 ran in the Stayers in the same season. A little bit of me just wonders did they come to Ascot over The Hattons in view of giving her experience at the course? The Long Walk , fits in nicely, is a big pot and she'll get the all important allowance again. Maybe this will form part of their chat ? They kept her busy last season so no worries on that front. Even if she did win the Long Walk she may still go to the Mares Hurdle but it'll give them another winnable option.

You’re surely just baiting now Lobos, you can’t seriously think Gordon will potentially send four of his best five horses to the stayers hurdle.

I know the Teahupoo beat must have hurt him last year but I don’t think Gordon is that desperate for retribution.

She’s Mares Hurdle bound, the new course will suit her down to the ground. I’d have given her a good squeak to upset Lossie even before the State Man setback but it’s a no brainer now. She was only half fit today but still showed her class.

Mares definitely favourite but let's see how his others get on in the Hattons. Not backed her for anything so no bias from me.
 
She was still 8/1 for the Mares in September. The value was there for longer than it usually is. Hope plenty got on.
 
Does Gord have any other decent Mares he can run in place of Wodhooh??

Why would he need to look beyond her? I don’t get the angle you’re looking for, it’s starring you in the face.

He had to wait until the Friday last year for her to get him on the board, he’s not gonna think outside the box on this one.
