  • There are so many negatives for allaho for me
    - time off the track
    - 10
    - looked like he reallyyyyy needed the first run
    - a little disappointing in the KG in terms of the way he travelled, expected him to get these off the bridle and win or get beaten because he didnt stay
    - Ruby comments about that run ^

but... I still come back to him. I do think he'll improve as the season goes, and get sharper for the runs.

he's that type of horse that can put in a huge performance, similar to Shishkin last year as Ascot, and the go off really short for the Ryanair. Now that I mentioned it, I can see this happening!

Allaho wins tomorrow... and wins in a fashion which will make the market react

I haven’t quoted the whole post.
But I agree with every part of this

      • I just don’t understand the running of the 3 potential Ryanair horses tomorrow. Thought one would have a trot round and the other 2 sent to the DRF
ive had to get AI onside now. FFS

Just to counter that. Allaho’s form figures in December 426413. His only win being a 2 length victory over Janadil. The run in the KC was probably a career best for that time of year over a trip that isn’t his best. Even if he’s beat tomorrow but runs well I’d still give him every chance in March.

Right now, before I back TWAF, that'd be ideal - if he drifted after, of course

              • With so most of the main protagonists being 10, it feels like we’re due a changing of the guard. If not this year, then definitely next year. I’m going to take a punt at Fil D’Or at a big price. A young horse with loads of improvement still to come. I think his run behind El Fabiolo early in the year was a good performance, I know he was receiving a lot of weight but nonetheless, I think he’ll improve for the trip and at 33-1 that looks value to me. Probably a good value loser

                  Hmmmm....

El Fab and Dinoblue... could be big winners at the fez, and could be one we look back on and say "well, the form going into the fez was kinda there.... with potential to improve". Half decent shout

                  • I like Fil Dor, but do you not think all his best form is over 2 miles rather than the Ryanair trip? 40/1 for the Queen mother with those I can bet with 50/1 with unibet

                    • Excited to see race tomorrow ....but also have this slight sense of dread

Suspect many are sat on the Allaho 7s, Envoi 16s and Appr crazy prices tickets......and can't shake the concern poss all bubbles could get burst

The rags aren't bad horses.....and not that diff to see an upset based on this season

Sure JOB & PN be watching with interest

                      • Not got a bean on Allaho and not going to. At the weights he has a chance tomorrow but , if he were to win, he'll not be blowing anyone away imo and I still couldn't fancy him for March. Envoi for me has held his form better than both Allaho and Appreciate it and his last run was imo one of the best of his career. He's still the winner in March.

Hoping the King George run has brought him on again. He'll be spot on, come Cheltenham, for his main target which is winning the Ryanair for the third time.

                          • I've taken the 11/2 on Allaho win today & Ryanair, as a top up. As has been said, the old Allaho on ratings should win this comfortably enough. And he wants to be beating Envoi under these conditions to be doing so in March. He's going to be around evens today, so a win sending him 9/4 or below for the Ryanair seems very realistic to me.

Between that and backing AI at 8/1 for today, it's quite an important race for me. What could possibly go wrong...

They're also monitoring the weather with a yellow warning for wind. Better not be canceled
