The Ascot meeting isn't ideal for Cheltenham prospects.
    Not impossible though.

      this division is dog rubbish

Blue Lord at 3/1 NRNB is the bet for me right now I’m acca’s. I’m sure you’ll be about to get Allaho at his current NRNB price on the day
If allaho goes, blue lord and fakir don't turn up. What else beats him? Surely he goes off closer to 1/2 than 5/4 regardless of fitness worries?!

      • I don't see Blue Lord going Ryanair after his romp last time. He looks a big improver so deserves a shout at the Champion Chase.

He's going to basically have a walkover at the DRF over 2m (1f) as well. So hard to argue with him going Champion Chase on the back of it. Surprised they've not tried him over further before the Ryanair.

I'm taking it as a positive for Allaho's wellbeing to suit my own agenda

Blue Lord will go CC regardless of Allaho turning up imo.

He did win the Clonmel Oil first run this season, don't forget.

Shakes head at Me West Country Cousin. Lobos use the force. It will point you to the Ryanair every day of the week.

They have mate. Beat Tornado Flyer over 2m4f in the Clonmel Oil with plenty of condition on him too.

                      • Good points there. I've apparently deleted that race from my memory.

Still strikes me as going CC by running over 2 miles in last two races before before the festival

Soz Somer. He's a threat to the big two. I'll back him on the day as cover.

                            Yeah can do that.
I was there when Kauto Star put in an absolutely foot perfect performance, which imo was ,if not the best, at least certainly one of the best chase performances I’ve ever seen .
He then got done in the famous Denman gold cup few weeks later. I’ve always held the view that had he not run at Ascot he would have beaten Denman.

He's 4/5 with NRNB, and thats where I think he'll be on the day, same price as the year before

Now the CPS 2m4 experiment is dead in the water id be surprised if Mullins just left the race on the table should Allaho not be fit in time. Especially if Energumene gets the better of Edwardstone at the weekend. And he doesn’t really have any other options
