Really liking Blue Lord for this, actually I fancy Blue Lord even if Allaho turns up.
Allaho going into his 5th season, and with a disrupted campaign... and lets be honest, he had a few 3 milers to beat over this distance. I'll be taking him on
Question will be, if Allaho turns up, will they run Blue Lord here or the QM. NRNB is the way forward on this for me
Elsewhere...
I keep on looking at Shishkin, 7/1 NRNB.
He's down to run in at Ascot, if I remember correctly... I wonder if they'll bring Fakir D'O over again for that. Would provide a decent benchmark.
If Shishkin was to perform and win, he'll go short for the Ryanair - he hasnt been entered in the QM. If he loses, what does Henderson so next? I think that would be the risk with NRNB with no cash out option... you'd be stuck with him.
However... I need to stick to my ante post guidelines... "dont back horses who have problematic seasons, and are likely to be on the decline"
I may have to pass Shishkin up on this one
Those who run in the 'Old Lexus' can come here and often do well, so Fury Road 20/1 NRNB on bet365 could be a bet, but would need a few of the top to be ruled out or run elsewhere. There are too many pacy types in that market atm, would be concerned he lacks the quality to be competitive. Not sure if I'd have him as a winner, but can see an angle for him to place
Now the GDC price has gone, am I the only one who thinks Fakir at 8/1 is pretty good? He'll only turn up if Allaho isnt there and I think he may go off fav if thats the case

8/1 is very fair Zach, I like the 20/1 about Chacun, if Allaho fails to turn up.

Nearly 11/1 with the willhill boost. Even if allaho does turn up but goes there direct, I’d take him on. His seasonal reappearance form is 24261 and that 1 would probably be a 2 if Asterion hadn’t have fallen
Woke up to an email from 365. Looks like they messed up big time on this one:-

I just wonder if we are making too much of the seasonal reappearance form of allaho. For me, it's different making your debut in march compared to November when you're building towards the rest of the season. It's not the same, but every time he's run after a 50 day break he's beaten or equalled his pb so it's not like he needs a race within 4 weeks like some horses.
