Do people think there is much point in betting on these chaps much before.....when hopefully, market competition will drive value and offers in last week and on day? At least on the exchanges if nowhere else
Sure i will do some.....but struggling at mo to place my first cap bet
Most horses are terrible value though. The Boodles market in particular is a joke compared to the market on the day.
There's a few on my shortlists who aren't in the betting yet for the race I want them in and I'm guessing they'll be a better price after entries (assuming they are entered) than they would be if I requested a price.

Haven't been impressed enough to back anything.
Could stay that way until we actually find out who is entered in each race, rather than just guessing.

Be interesting what profit (or not) margins are like for people this year....and if bookies have over-done the odds cuts
Personally, its more about engagement with the spot as a hobby that matters.....and maybe its a way of telling me i need a new plan on handicapsFat Jockey Patron (est. Jan 2021)

No idea what you're both looking at.
There are masses of horses that will go off much shorter should they run.
It's the same principle as when starting the season for many of the graded races.
You're simply looking for likely runners, and likely winners at bigger prices than SP.
Going on all the evidence we have.
Don't need to list the things that you look for as clues.
As all are similar to those applied to the graded races.
But this time you have the safety net of NRNB. A massive edge.
Most bets are guesswork.
But this is guessing with less risk. Give or take the odd runner available at bigger nearer the day.
Let's face it, getting a run for your money is a bonus when betting antepost.

there's definitely some better prices i think with the other firms jumping in.
First look I've gone for
capodanmo 6s with hills nhc
ptko 12s with hills mares chase
concertista 4s with hills mares hurdles
a few combinations of mullins horses in arkle/turners
tiger 9/2 365 Cross Country
Mercury 11/2 365 bumper (too proud to bet him before the race )
also cashed out a few handicap bets and rebet nrnb. lost a few points of profit but its still early enough to get a decent price

I’ve not found some of the prices too bad in the handicaps. Think the handicap chases are worth your time more than the hurdles, they’re the real NKFA markets that readily deliver 25/1+ winners on the day. Taken a swing at a few today but trying to remain slightly reserved still. Absolutely nothing is grabbing my attention in the Martin pipe market at a price I’d want to be a backer at though.
