Very interesting to see.... you wouldn't say Teapuhoo was definitely beaten there? While Paul was going best, he'd have been off the bridle after that last and the winner seemed to be responding
On both, but wouldn't say it was a certain win for Youmdor? Wonder what the bookies will do.
Thankfully, he got up OK and was carefree when playing with Merry Poppins after Rachael Blackmore got hold of him so I don't imagine he will be too hurt by the experience.
Have only seen it once as it happened, but although it wasn't a brilliant jump at the last, did he land on a false patch of ground? Quite sure I saw a large strip of turf fly up as he landed.
edit - FWIW, I probably would have had Youmdor about seven to two on at the last. Won on the bridle at Gowran as well and Teahupoo isn't shy of a battle but Youmdor was going very strongly.

Hard to take that fall and chances are he would have won, but we will never know. Wonder if they will find an egg and spoon for him now as we dont want him going there on a back of a fall.

Youmdor matched at 1/33 in running for 1100
Matched at 1.03 in running before the last (just saw your edit)

Thats just what I was thinking. Even if youmdor had got the better of him after the last, it still would have been a very nice run from teahupoo. Its easy to focus too much on the fall, but that was only the second run of teahupoos life and first run for elliott, and he jumped well and was putting it up to youmdor, who has had a lot more runs than teahupoo. I backed both of them last night with the idea of cashing out the loser but now im unsure

Buckled on landing, the strip of turf was his attempted second stride after the last
