shes won some nice races but she's not going to beat a horse like chacun

The main thing I noticed there was how fast he is getting away from his fences, him and notebook were equally good in the air but chacun landed on a perfect stride every time and stole half a length

Think that confirms two things

a) Notebook didn’t run his race at the Arkle
b) The Arkle was poor

Hed have beaten PTKO by further id think if the fences hadn't been taken out too

Yeah there was a lovely side angle on one of the fences on the far side, both jumped it perfectly but Chacun landed like a cat

Not a chance. Madness. Shouldn't have been running there today but had to. Not her course. 3/3 at Cheltenham and the Arkle winner. She'll run in the CC.

Chacun looked very good, but he was getting very tired on the run in. The easing down disguised this a bit.
I'd imagine it's because they went a serious gallop though, so fair enough.

PTKO doesn't have the speed over 2miles IMO. Said it numerous times it was a poor Arkle

They're really game aren't they, and she wasn't disgraced then was she.



For me, Chacun Pour Soi is a top notcher, so using him as "evidence" that the Arkle was poor is just making a leap that isn't there. If he steps on a stone again, the race is not exactly deep and she'd be right in there with a chance of winning it based on her actual form and Cheltenham form!
