This chap does some speed stuff @JinksMarmaduke
These were his comments on:ENVOI ALLEN hit my biggest NHF fig before the Festival last yr, then he ran faster at Cheltenham. He hit a v gd 85 at Fairyhouse and now he's run a Festival winning 91 at Naas. That was a proper novices' race, I hope it doesn't leave a mark on all of them.

Obviously it looks a certainty he runs here, but having had the view he had the same chance in either race, I actually think he might have a marginally better chance in the Supreme now. I'm not saying I think he will be beaten because he's quite clearly the best novice around, but if he was, I'd say its more likely he is outstayed in this than out speeded in the Supreme.

Mullins was practically creaming his pants about him. And there’s no better judge than him.

Samcro's Ballymore win was the race that popped into my head as I watched Envoi Allen hitting the front at the weekend.
Watching him put the distance between himself an Elixir D'ainay after the last starts off great and then he looks really slow in the last bit - but so do the ones behind him.
I've definitely seen more impressive looking winners after the last. Davy was animated enough too to stop me going absolutely bananas about him.
He's the best novice hurdler around at any distance I'd imagine this year, but I love a horse to power through the line and expected him to.
I hope he was dossing about, and as I said yesterday, because of his bumper 'battling' quality I don't doubt him in the fight, so he's hopefully better than Samcro.
This season, being just as good as Samcro was will be enough though

Wouldn’t that be interesting as a handicap with Envoi Allen having to give Elixir D’Ainay 16lbs? (or maybe over 20lb if you converted the Big P into an expected higher rating).
16 lbs?
Are they bananas?
16 lbs superior of Elixir D'ainay?
I wish timeform did the official ratings, I'd make Elixir D'ainay the best handicapped horse in training and smash him wherever he went.
What TF are doing there is what you'd call in the playground, "Attention Seeking"
