Given the race history, why would you want anything 'non Willie' ?

I think we might be getting more Willie this year.

        • Perhaps worth noting, this time last year, backing every Willie entry was profitable .... and take BOG if you can get it

          • ...and a nice case as usual SW.

I can't see a collapse in her price anytime soon, may well be able to get a bit bigger before the tapes go up perhaps?

            • Decent priced fancy SW, the form of her last race run hasn't worked out for all she won it easy enough. She's a stayer for me and yes, if Davy can get her in a good rhythm early doors and keep going she might have a squeak but overall i'd struggle to see her being good enough. Ground softer might help her!

                • I backed the Arb in October at 40/1 after Elliot spoke positively about her chances of progressing this season. I’m amazed she’s still as big a price as she is given her trainer reputation and the good races she has competed in and I’m confused why she is twice the price of horses who have achieved a lot less in front of her in the market. I was worried they would pursue the handicap route with her and my AP bet was on the funeral pyre but whether Daylight Katie’s absence has left Elliot with few options in this race or he really believes she can win I’m not sure. Not sure if she is good enough but it would nice to see Mullins stranglehold on this race let up this year but hard to see it happening.

                  • Is there any chance that fujimoto flyer is sent here? I think with the 4yo allowance she’d have a nice chance.

Yeah, I backed her 20/1 NRNB for it yesterday.

                      PP have her 7/1 NRNB

                      • Any love for Jeremys Flame? 2nd to Fiddlerontheroof (way clear of the rest which has seen subsequent winners). Then sent off JFav in a 27 runner handicap in which she was badly hampered and later found to be lame.

Obviously not the ideal prep but I thought she ran a good race behind Fiddler

I’ve got her in a multiple but she’s been taken out of the betting for this with William hill, which seems unusual for them.

                          • Has anyone heard anyone connected to Mullins mention either Lamarcksie or Dolcita on the Preview Evening circuits?

David mullins and mikey fogarty were asked to rate the top three horses in order, david said the market has it right, while mikey said dolcita, colreevy then lamarckise, but then he changed his mind and said the market does have it right haha. Mikey seemed to like dolcita though, and david said all three are serious mares

Danny Mullins was quite cool on Lamarkise, giving the impression that they expected a lot more judged on his homework. Mentioned Colreevy and said he went like the clappers when he rode him the last day. Positive mention of Dolcita and even more so about Concertista whom he thought suits the track. It seemed like he was just about to give a mention to something else when he was interrupted and never got it out... On balance, I think that they rate Lamarkise the best but are worried she's a morning glory. Got the feeling he thought Minella Melody was pretty good
