I also agree with Champman on the NRNB subject. If bookies want to offer NRNB I feel that they should also offer an alternative market with the typical ante post results.
The odds offered on NRNB are absolutely terrible most of the time.
That’s why he is good - he’s happy to say things people may not want to hear or with which they disagree. An analogy would be working in a company that is going in the wrong direction - better to have employees that express alternative ideas and views than have people say nothing on the basis that they shouldn’t criticise their employer.

I think a better analogy would be when Gerald Ratner laughed at his customers for buying the crap his shops sold, then his customers decided not to buy from him anymore

I've been very successful using NRNB market for the last five or six years, there is value in most race markets.
It's just a different strategy (not got time to explain it all here). It is a big edge IMO especially with the variety of races each horse can run in.
I honestly can't think of many NRNB I've placed where I haven't beat the SP, and at least 80-90% are better than available after declarations or the morning of the race.
And surely that's the idea of betting antepost, getting the value ?
and the edge got edgier this year with bet365 doing cash outs.
I like Matt Champman. I can remember him interviewing Oliver Brady (RIP) and getting him to tell viewers of ATR to get on Baron De Feypo for the Coral Cup E/W and i took 33/1 in 2007 and it ran 3rd.More people in racing like this two please.
I don't have a problem with how people handle ante post betting, that's each to his own, I have a problem with Chapman slating punters, he has absolutely no respect for anyones opinion but his own
I dont get why people dont like NRNB, its got me plenty of money back so far taking punts on horses going in races that they are unlikely to go in, such as backing Douvan yesterday at 5/1 for the Ryanair. It only comes in at the start of the year, and up until about 2/3 weeks ago half the bookies were still not NRNB so theres both options available for those who like to go for the bigger odds but with the added risk. Dont understand where there is a problem

Exactly many clouds
Best of both worlds
You just have to shop around
Got 300 off pp today and reinvested in same races
I know some of you got bigger prices than me but you also lost on some non runners
It is just another way of gambling
Nrnb just saved me a ton of cash. And I mean a ton ( for me) . I took a stance on Monbeg Notorious of Elliot's. If it wasn't nrnb I wouldn't have invested, given the fact that it was Elliots. And for anyone else who ha this on their radar he's entered in the Gold Cup at Leopardstown and the Irish National.
Do both options not still exist ?
Those who go NRNB early will clearly be shorter than those who don't, Hills still are not NRNB on many races but a number of their prices are far better than others in the market.
So for me punters have a choice...
Scooby - Saw this special and thought of you.... (its awful odds but funny!)
750/1 on WH - It is basically every horse from the Flogas to place (all any race)
Monalee
Invitation Only
The Storyteller
Al Boum Photo
Rathvinden
Snow Falcon
Dounikos
Terrible odds because you'd need the 1-2-3 in the RSA (Monalee, Al Boum, Dounikos), a place in the 4 miler (Rathvinden) 2 in the JLT (Invitation Only and Snow Falcon) AND a handicap place (The Storyteller)
Would prove the Flogas was the greatest novice chase of all time
