Onto gold cup day we go
Still lacking my wounds after the horse I backed to win last years Prince of Wales wins this years beating luxembourg who id backed at 12s into 2nd
But we go again and they say its always darkest before the dawn
And I'm hoping that the dawn is named Eldar Eldarov
On the Queens vase and leger winner at 8s who ran a very nice prep for this staying on strongly carrying a 5lb penalty and being very weak in the market
4yos have an excellent recent record in the gold cup and I'm hoping he's the one to continue that
Hopefully we get a good clash between him and Coltrane
No bets in the other races but I'm very much looking forward to seeing Elite status vs American rascal. Are they both on the wrong side? We saw the high numbers dominate the straight course races today, it took jimi hendrix winning the race on the far side by half the track for a low number to win. Be interesting to see what the going stick says in the morning.
and then the exciting Al Asifah, who looked a possible superstar last time, in the ribblesdale. Backing up quickly in a big but rather average looking field.
We will also get an idea of the strength of the oaks form when caernarfon runs in the Hampton Court
So a potentially informative day ahead
