Mares Novice Hurdle 2019

Disappointing from Relegate

Can't see her being dropped to 2m. But you never know.

Nice form boost for chante neige yesterday with stormy Ireland bolting up. But you'd like to know she's still sound after last year.

She may get dropped to 2m but she won't be winning it jumping and travelling like that.

If she was ever going to be in a 2 mile hurdle race they'd surely need to maake it a true run, stamina test.

You can forgive any horse first time out, and Mullins' aren't exactly all cherry ripe for their first run this season(possibly?), but impossible to see a positive from today. Either negatives or 'meh'

Just another early market maker. Pakora was the first, then Relegate, suspect it won't be long before we see the actual winner of this race but can't see it being the lot we have seen so far.

O my god what happened today, Relegate never really looked like the horse she was at Cheltenham and she also had a poor run at punchestown last year on similar ground. Ok maybe she needs plenty of juice in the ground but who caused the price tumble last week because this run makes no sense unless she had such a hard race last year its taken its toll.

Not sure if ive missed any news but has anyone heard anything on Chante Niege? 365 went 14s earlier

No news just took a view. She's not entitled to be short And they probably don't have her in the book.

What's happened with Epatante?! Sea of blue on oddschecker and into a general 6/1.

Why has Chante Neige gone out to 14/1 with 365?

Only one? Are they doubting the Mullins novice crop?

No mention of Chante Neige in Willies stable tour today which seems very strange for one so short in an antepost market; perhaps she’s had a setback?

Just thinking out loud, and I know the owner doesn't mind running 2 or more in a race, but if Nicky (Henderson) is telling Jared Sullivan (JS) that Daphne Du Clos is ready for this would JS be keen to hold back Chante Neige for another season, if they were both seen to have enough potential to win it.

Last seasons race JS had another (Cut The Mustard) in purely to set the pace up for Laurina, and to 'spoil' tactics of other runners at the head of the betting, as she did.

Obviously this time around Daphne Du Clos & Chante Neige are split by different trainers, so it makes it a little more difficult to second guess, however this was just a thought I had.

Given Willies record with mares it is quite obvious that his horses will hold up the majority of the market too.

She's already been held up for 1 they'll run her this year if she's right. I wouldn't worry about the non mention he's no reason to mention her. She hasn't ran for him or had an entry laurina wasn't mentioned last year for the same reasons.

Normally P.P. knows whats going on in Willie's yard so its a little strange he pushed Chante Neige out from 8's to 12's very unusual.
P.P. don't have a price up for Colreevy which is strange. I know Colreevy has been covered already but I would like to add Colreevy was Fav. to beat Relegate in a bumper so they thought a lot of her based on that.
