Forum Meet Up - Festival Week!

With the Champion Chase looking an absolute belter on paper - and generally it looking a potentially legendary day with Tiger Roll, Envoi Allen and the RSA too - I've now booked and I'm going on the Wednesday.

That is likely to be the only day I do go, so if anybody does want to meet up with me in particular  Club Enclosure... :victorious: - but happy to meet anybody that wants to in the Guinness Village :encouragement: :very_drunk:

I think I'll be driving :sorrow: but I'm still fun without beer :witless:

I'm going Thursday (Stayers and Ryanair) and will be in Best mate with the masses supping on gin and trying my best not to spend any money at the on course bookies. So odd going when all bets are long placed.... There for the racing alone (And drinking obv)

I'll be there Wednesday, in club as well.

But I am one of those people who agrees to meet ups then get scared and not turn up :highly_amused:

:highly_amused: It's not a blind date!

If I get stood up by random internet nerds I'll be furious :highly_amused::highly_amused:

God I'm even worse with blind dates :highly_amused:

Tbf as a young lady attending the races on her own I probably should meet up with a few people. Always a more enjoyable day when with other like minded folk!

I'll be there all week - staying in Prestbury as usual so a nice walk to the course! :)

Club tickets for me too. We usually stand outside the back of the Cottage Rake Tuesday and Wednesday in between races.

I'm in club on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Lets sort out a time and place

Train down early doors Thursday (accompanied by a case of beer) and hopefully making racing that day after a good Tuesday Wednesday (probably in the pub). Definitely need to do the full week soon.....if the missus allows :highly_amused:

Is 16-28 a thing?

I'm in the 16-32 club? :highly_amused:

Technically I'm on my own this year too.... you'll have to put your brave pants on and get involved.:highly_amused:

Meeting strangers from the internet is fine now, right? It's 2020? :highly_amused:
In all seriousness, I did meet with jono a few years back and we've been mates since. He lives about 4 hours away but in a couple of weeks I'm going there just to talk racing and have a few beers.... so it's not all murder mystery and bodybags?

I expect I'll be 3rd wheel with Jono and partner, and now BigChaang....

I'll be there all week :)

TC2 joins the party....

Me and a mate are the same. Staying in a fancy hotel in Bristol and going back and forth by train. Works well every year.

And MoM in the Wednesday Club

and IC?

Club tickets for me too. We usually stand outside the back of the Cottage Rake Tuesday and Wednesday in between races.

:encouragement: Could be 'the spot'?

Joleg too....

Before the first race?

After the RSA?

Never?

Thankfully they extended the 16-24 right out this year to 28, scraped through (thou get asked for ID proof every fixture thus far) god send as £230 with no pesky admin fee was enough for me to sign up :)
I'm amazed you've never had a meet up before given most on here must go to at least one day a year given we talk about it 365 days a year .

I'm a new contributor but I'm on course on Tues and Weds and would be delighted to meet up for a Guinness or 3 on Weds....

Sounds good to me.

Has anyone got some sticky labels so we can stick out usernames to our jackets? :highly_amused:
