She'd then say sorry and agree that Myretown wouldn't get further than the 3rd fence in a National the way he's rooted a few fences this season.
 
Anyway....a bit like a few of the Olympic Slope stars, he's getting far too much air time for a horse that has performed so poorly this season.

Let's talk about possible festival winners instead.

Yeah he fell four out. It's up to the handicapper whether he wants to give him a mark, I don't think there's a set rule in place for everyone. But he got far enough into the race that he's probably alright, but not 100% definite.

Edit: i stand corrected, every start counts as a run. Handicapper could just choose to treat you harshly if he's not happy he's seen the horses ability in those runs if you dont complete any of them, but in argento boys case he's fine. Could be rated too highly for the race though depending on what tax he gets.

Backmersackme an obvious contender following his recent success at the Dublin Racing Festival.

Mullins added: “He seems to have come out of the DRF well. I suppose Cheltenham-wise winning over two-mile-five created a few more options for us as we originally thought we couldn’t go far enough with him, so the National Hunt Chase was always the plan.

“We were always hopeful he had that sort of run in him, we campaigned him highly enough over hurdles and the form was always there, we just hadn’t had our day. We were always hoping it was just a matter of time before he put it together.

“He’ll get plenty of entries, but I’d say we’d be leaning towards the National Hunt Chase.”

Minella Emperor is in line for the Pertemps Final after finishing second in a Haydock qualifier last weekend, while McLaurey is likely to have multiple entries, but is considered “a bit of a mudlark” by his trainer.
