2026 Gold Cup

It actually looks a fairly weak gold cup now we have the entries.

Yup, massive holes in all of them.

I’ve been on Stellar Story since October at 100/1 but he’s shown nothing, seems to go alright at Cheltenham though and you just never know - gold cup could bring something out of him.

Affordale Fury did show a spark this year despite blowing up LTO. Savilles winners have a great record in this race. Ran once at Cheltenham and finished 2nd despite being 150:1 at the off. I’ll take the chance.

Out of the top 3 in the market I’d be most keen on Jango, but I can just see an outsider Irish horse winning this.

….Envoi Allen is 33-1. Won a Ryanair, maybe a leap of faith he stays but has won twice over 3m, including a comfortable win over Affordale lto.

100% just not sure 3m2 on g/s is quite far enough in this company. I am coming round to him as an each way proposition though. There’s rain in the air thurs/Fri all depends on how much they get for me to jump on him.

Leaning towards Envoi Allen e/w here. I’ve got a 20/1 ante post e/w on Jango Baie so hopefully I’ll get a run for my money.

It's about slowing the others down over the first few. On decent going I suspect he'll lose all chance and find himself too far back early on.

You’re not going to want Affordale to get in a rhythm because he can travel and jump quicker than your fella. He can belt the odd one as well of course. Then I’d expect Spillane and the veteran to be tracking the pace and they’ll want to use jukebox’s jumping as well. There’ll be enough pace on I’d say.
