2026 Champion Hurdle

Celtic Dino ran a big race giving 7lbs to Wodhooh. Puts him closer to Lossiemouth on that running. Alexei form given a huge boost. Quevega sweating a bit......

He ran to his handicap mark, no more.

“I’m absolutely delighted I came to Haydock. To be honest I didn’t even know Lossiemouth was going to be running this weekend until I got back from North America on Thursday,” Ricci said.

Anzadam will be beaten next weekend, lossie will run in champion hurdle (even though she won't win) because Mullins has no other champion hurdle options

I can’t have Lossiemouth at all at 2 miles but be some race if it and the new lion went against each other over 2 and a half miles

Can barely jump properly at 2 mile pace. I would place a mares bet for her but Mullins has no other champion hurdle horses

Who can jump properly at 2 mile pace that would beat her ?

And what’s the difference in miles an hour when jumping a hurdle in a 2 mile grade 1 vs a 2 and half mile grade one ?

I’ll answer the second one for you, there’s fuck all in it

Pleasantly surprised Lossie was left unchanged for the CH following her Romp around today.

It's a strange market between the two races. All eyes on Anzadam. He mentioned Kawaboomga going over fences still being the aim but i would be re-routing him 100%. Sir Gino could drop into the CH yet too. Are the obvious horses both running next weekend?

I’d be amazed if they start a novice chasing campaign for kawaboomga in the new year.
No point whatsoever
Might as well go international hurdle or a grade 2 in Ireland then champion if good enough

Is he even in the yard yet?

Was a bad enough injury iirc

Just going on mullins comments about not seeing him till early next year.
If Anzadam proves not up to the task, and William Munny gets anywhere near Lossie assuming she stays sound then if he is ready to return in the second half of the season it would be a no brainer.
Even if the New Lion has mopped up the grade 1's over here.

I heard something somewhere about him being "back" in some way but can't remember where. Either back in the yard or back in pre training or something like that.

If she was as good as you think she is then don't you think Mullins Townend ricci etc would all be saying she will be going champion hurdle. Here's a little quote from the owner himself...... "Maybe she's just a very good mare"
