Entered on Thursday aren't they?

Yes spot on Kev hadn't noticed that. Crazy that they are already shortening when no guarantees will run. Ballyward is enterred too but no movement on him. Maybe an indication won't run?

Only Getabird in the running for tomorrow and only 3 opponents. Likely to go off very short but hoping to see another impressive display and further shortenings

Young Patrick does his usual thing... sits still for nearly the whole race, then goes berserk for the last few hundred yards!

Thought it was a pretty unimformative race, although Getabird did well enough to win considering it turned into a sprint. I also think the second actually isn't a bad horse, certainly not as bad as the odds suggested today.

A wins a win anyway, and some more valuable experience.

I think its good that Patrick does that although it looks like bad horsemanship sometimes, it gets the young horse used to jockey pressure and a battle :encouragement:

I think he may be one for a quicker surface too, but all in all 4/1 is a joke of a price

I don't think we know anything more about him. A 4 runner race, with two of the horses priced 100/1, that was run at a crawl.

Goes straight to Cheltenham now.

Like FM says, I don’t think we really learned anything new from today and it’s hard to be that impressed when the race is run in such a way. But, he did win without too much difficulty and beat a horse who has a lot more experience having already run twice over hurdles – also, Hardline probably wouldn’t have been beaten far by Chateau Conti, who is as short as 12/1 for the Supreme, had he have stood up last time out.

I know, was a bit peeved that the race cut up with all of the runners that dropped out.

Whos your value bet in this Faugheen?

I'm firmly in the Ballyward camp. He impressed me at Christmas when winning his bumper over 2.5m.

I'd like to see him again over 2miles before Cheltenham though.

Good pick mate.

I think Wylie mite do pretty well this year :encouragement:

I know Wylie really likes the race, and does try and target it so Cheltenham is surely on his agenda.

I think Patrick thought he was gonna win on the bridle haha. The one thing I did notice was that once he got going he was starting to pull away well... I think he has plenty of gears which will suit pedalling up the hill

Anyone looking to back Western Ryder is advised to take the 25/1 available now.
Happy to give an update to any interested parties by PM

Champ gets a low profile start tomorrow. Been pointed out on twitter McManus probably has been sitting on that name.

I love a theory like that.... plenty of good examples.
