I listed five possible catchphrases in the general chat thread yesterday that he could use. And yeah some sort of siren noise and red strobe lighting effects would be good too, possibly with backing music, something like Shawn Michaels wwe entrance music.

I find these sort of things are probably the most important on social media, actual good horse racing knowledge and selections are probably a fair way down the list

        • I think these have been great Spectre. There's two things I'd suggest - neither of which may be easy which may rule them out immediately but thought I'd suggest them anyway...

          1) When you're talking about a horse have a picture of it's colours/name at the bottom of the screen. Really visual so people know what you're looking at and can see the colours when the look at Racing Post or whatever they use
          2) Have some form of star system for betting tips - not necessarily points but I rate Captain Teague a 5* chance or I think West Balboa is a 4* bet - giving your thoughts on all races is really interesting, but it was hard for me to pin down who you had most confidence in and so by extension hard to consider which to follow. With the comments that have come above you could have a 5* klaxon that you add to the video as well to get people's attention.

I suspect a couple of these might prove tough to get your head around (they would be for me at the age of 33 with no video editing experience!) but I think they could add a lot in terms of drawing people in

It would be a genius marketing move, it worked for Prince Monolulu and John McCririck !

I'm currently in talks with Lenny Henry about playing Prince Monolulu in a biography about his life.
I love that idea Quevega. I'm not sure I could pull it off though

As much as I like the idea Odin, I'm an technical idiot. It didn't do social media until I started this a month ago. Hopeless and need help would be the best description. I'm learning though, but it'll be small steps.

The initial videos were really to provide shortlists and horses to consider, throwing out some left field ideas along the way. As the season progresses I'd certainly consider suggesting a staking level or a points system maybe. My style is usually to go with a selection, a next best, or and each way, or even some kind of combination if I think a race warrants it. I'm also conscious that my style won't suit everyone. But hopefully if I'm talking about the right horses people will use them how they see fit.

Expected as much in all honesty, but maybe something to bear in mind for the future as you become more of a technical genius... I'll still be watching them when I can anyway

Just on that idea in regards to tiktok you can simply add an overlay on top of your video clips during upload. Add a picture from your image gallery i.e a screenshot of horse name/colours and add it to your video just drag and scale to where on the screen you want it and set the duration by dragging to corresponding length in video.

say 5 different horses would be 5 picture/screen-shot overlays added and placed where needed.

If you want it I can send you a step by step guide with pictures
