You have the honour of being the inaugral Handicaptain

What this means, is you can essentially pick a horse from any of the four days from the handicaps exclusively. It doesn't need to be one per day either.

The point of these yankee's, is for us all to back them for (min stakes is fine) so we have a collective yankee to support during the week! With it being collective yankee, as much engagement as possible is encouraged.

Win only, each way, shorties, no-hopers, popular horses, personal fancies, tips from the other yankees, cases made elsewhere, random guesses... all up to you .....Your decision will be final.

Final selection to be put up on Monday 14th March, by 12:00 please.

Here is the Handicaps Fat Jockey Yankee for the 2022 Cheltenham Festival

This will be an E/W Yankee

    Tullybeg - Pertemps
    Colonel Mustard - County
    Saint Felicien - Coral Cup
Freedom To Dream - Martin Pipe

Let's hope for the best and hopefully all of them turn up in their races!

    Cheers Kev, appreciate the opportunity.

So, first of all, any suggestions folks to start the conversation?

I'll start, probably the talking horse of the handicaps this year on the forum, Dunboyne - Pertemps opinions?

….erm, Galaxy Quest. Maybe not. If Remastered looks like getting in the Pertemps, then he has to be high on the list.

Plenty of potentially well handicapped sorts in the Fred Winter (obviously including the hot FAV) but HMS Seahorse has solid form and looks particularly well treated off 128.

Not sure he's the one (I have him backed) but wouldn't mind at all if he won. Tullybeg could be Elliotts main dart, and still a decent price.

I'm a fan of HMS Seahorse, he seems to be going under the radar quite a bit it seems every run he seems to be improving so definitely has potential to be up there in the places

Yeah, you definitely can't overlook the big lay off he's had since running in the qualifier, especially as it is a Gordon horse that is pretty telling he wants the horse going here fresh as he thinks it will have a great chance

Really like Ain't That A Shame off 144: Promising chase debut behind Stattler; was not disgraced (and eased) when well held by Galopin Des Champs (ahead of Blue Sari) next time and got mugged on the line by Champagne Platinum after running free last time. The way he travels & jumps I would prefer to see him in the Ultima under a positive ride but connections are apparently aiming for the Kim Muir. Provided Ben Harvey can put him to sleep early he would be my idea of the class horse in the race.

                  Boodles
Sea Sessions 125, his form keeps getting franked. very interesting & lots of 25s available
Ib?rique Du Seuil 126, i like his profile for this race. 25s with Skybet.
Ebasari 131, could be a plot but most of the value gone now.

All of the above could be pointless if GW is the real deal. Big IF though.

Embittered in the grand annual - fell last year when 9/2, OR146. Dropped 1lb this year

The Irish contingent has been hit hard by the British handicapper so they'll need to be very well handicapped

I would throw in Winter Fog, price is getting towards a win only price so may depend on which route you decide on

Is it 100% confirmed which race he is going to?
