Yes. 5lb - sorry i should've added that in. If he'd have won Sunday or earlier though, i think his handicap mark would've been far greater than 134 - probably similar to Cabot's.

They've just used a 5lb claimer as well.

        • Busselton given 135. Same mark as Druid's Altar who he beat 4l on his debut for the yard.

Beaten 4l by Zanahiyr and in receipt of 3 pounds. So 7 pound difference. Although Zanahiyr is rated 149 making that a difference of 14 pounds.

Beaten by Quilixios by 10l. Quilixios has a rating of 147, making that a 12 pound difference.

I definitely think he's well handicapped here and wouldn't be out of place in the Triumph to come around 5th. I would 100% say he is JOB's best juvenile and to get the same mark as Druid's Altar is brilliant for him!!

I wouldn't say the Druid's Altar that we saw last time ran to the same level as when they met.... well, obviously he didn't....so I wouldn't take that 4L literally and assume he'll be 4L ahead....but it certainly doesn't hinder his chances at all to off the same weight as a horse he's beaten

The Joseph haters will be made to pay

              • "Homme Public and Houx Gris made their hurdling debuts in the same race at Auteuil last September. Neither proved a match for a runaway winner on that occasion, but they showed plenty of promise by finishing second and third respectively, just four lengths apart. There was even less between them when they met again there the following month when Houx Gris beat Homme Public by a neck. Both geldings then joined British stables, with Houx Gris going to Paul Nicholls and Homme Public joining Oliver Greenall. Nicholls pitched Houx Gris straight into Grade 1 company in the Finale Juvenile Hurdle at Chepstow where he shaped better than his well-beaten third to Adagio and Nassalam suggests after making a mess of the second last. Greenall, on the other hand, has taken a lower-key approach with Homme Public who had a straightforward task at Market Rasen last time with a victory characterised by fluent hurdling.

The pair could meet for a third time on the first day of the Festival in the Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle where their French form suggests they’re both well treated, particularly Homme Public who is now 3 lb better off for that neck defeat when they last met. However, while Houx Gris is among the market leaders at around 6/1, Homme Public is as big as 33/1 in one list for a stable that’s enjoying its best season."

                pretty compelling case that tbf

Who put that up? I backed him earlier at 33s on the basis he would shorten.

Thanks. He kept his same rating after winning last time and his hurdling was good, with a great leap at the last. He should get in and is interesting.

Great case, watched back, added 1pt 28/1 NRNB

                        • If there's a case for Hous Gris then there has to be a case for Elham Valley.
I remember watching the two in the Chepstow race and I swear they were both trying to finish behind
each other with neither ever put in the race at any stage, as a result of the placings there Fergals horse gets a 4lb pull.
Elham Valley also won a decent event at Sandown in December and although the form has been let down a few times since the fact he got the win which guaranteed a mark to get in here may be an excuse for his two subsequent ‘efforts’.
This race has a habit of throwing up the odd shock and this isn’t a race to be scared of big prices.
                          33/1 (40/1 in a place) v 7/1...

                          • SkyBet are a little slow updating their place markets, and are still 3/1 for Houx Gris to place (5 places) NRNB. He's only 6/1 to win the race.

Belting price, and I've added him and got stuck into some multiples with him included as well.
