I’m a great fan of balky for this race. Great Cheltenham back form winning Ryanair. Well backed for x-country Cheltenham debut and running really sweetly until departing with Rachel at cheese wedges. Great subsequent run in grand National and I’m sure he’ll be back for more. Had worse bets at 16/1.

This is the XC thread Kev. I assume if you've backed him for the GC then you are in the minority like me that he'll not be going anywhere near a XC fence ?

Dare I say it .....Tiger looks a great bet at 6's now that Galvin looks very unlikely to come here .

          Bet365 CUT Galvin to 10/1 CC & 33/1 GC,so they think it"s 50/50 i reckon.

Farclas seems to have been forgotten here.

From RP I thought it was a good performance with the weight that GALVIN had and we know he's going to come on a lot for it as well as he is taking a good blow there. He's in the Ladbrokes Champion Chase at Down Royal and we could go there. He's a horse to look forward to for the rest of the season anyway. He was a bit slow over the second and third last and he never really does more than he has to. He only ever does enough. I think the Grand National would be more up his street than the Gold Cup to be honest - Gordon Elliott, trainer

To be fair, it would be a ridiculous decision for them not to cut the XC at this point but I wouldn't take that as them necessarily thinking it's likely. I still think they want to go Grand National, but no idea what they want to do beforehand now

Tom off TRL show gave him a strong mention the other day. I rarely agree with them but in this instance I do. BDF wasn’t just well backed before the off - he was punted from 20’s into 6’s in a matter of minutes and it was very strong support. His GN run was savage, he’ll ‘only’ be 11 next year which isn’t a bad thing in this race, he’ll secure RB up top, solid Cheltenham form - an awful lot to like IMO with so many boxes ticked this far out. I’m going to add him

In fact the 2 horses enda bolger got should be requested as any race with hills, as they may not factor this in.
Fils doudairies is the one I'd be most interested in. mainly cos I can't remember the name of the other one.

                          edit - farclas 16's

Took me three attempts to get it right. Wouldn't want to be in a rush trying to spell it on a betting docket 1 min before the off
