9g Walk In The Park - Star Face

RPR 178c OR 167c
We didn’t know what to expect when he went for the Clonmel Oil Chase on Thursday considering how long he had been off the track, so we were absolutely delighted to see him win so well. Plans will depend on how he comes out of the race, but it was a very encouraging effort. He might not quite attain the heights he scaled in the past but on Thursday’s evidence there should be more good days to come if he stays right. He’s in the John Durkan and the King George, and will have other entries over Christmas. Whether we stick to 2m4f, try him over 3m or go back to 2m is very much up in the air.

That turn of foot for DDS up the hill is the difference, whilst others start to drop down a gear he pounces like he did in the JLT and hit top gear. His jumping is my only concern but as long as Geraghty can stay fit I think they can win either CC or Ryanair with or without Altior, CPS, Douvan involved. CPS has not experienced the Cheltenham Hill yet and probably won’t until the day and I think Altior & Douvan will get out paced coming up the hill if DDS improves on that yesterday.

4/1151-2
RPR 180c OR 171c
He delivered a career-best performance when winning the Melling Chase by 20 lengths at Aintree in April and is back for another campaign in top races from 2m to about 2m4f. He might start off in the John Durkan at Punchestown, a race he won last year, and hopefully he’ll be adding to his four Grade 1 chase wins.

Things didn’t work out for him last season when he had a couple of hold-ups and only got to run three times. So he has to put all that behind him and hopefully he’ll show all the talent he displayed in his unbeaten novice season when he won four Grade 1s. We’re planning to go longer distances with him and he might start off in the Boomerang.ie Chase over 2m6f at Thurles on Thursday.

Min 10/1
Douvan 10/1
Haven't backed Min in a single for this race but he's the one I have in mind...(just too short to really bother getting stuck into) and I'm glad I didn't, because Douvan is just a better horse.
If they ever lined up I'd want to be on Douvan over Min and they're currently the same price.
Can't back Douvan though with any confidence at 10s either.
So I hope they aim for the moon with Douvan.
King George then Ryanair wouldn't be madness.... Vautour did alright in those two

Who bought him Scooby??
Just found it, Munir & Souede. Please ignore all the tripe I originally posted. It just dawned on me that Mister Dino might still be classed as a novice as he never raced after Plumpton last season?? He currently rates 159 over fences? Is he still classed a novice and therefore a possible JLT entry?Last edited by The King Pimm; 18 November 2019, 07:06 PM.
