The big jumps meetings keep coming.
Last weekend was a cracker with 2012 Cheltenham winners Big Bucks, Bobs Worth and Countrywide Flame all advertising their credentials for the 2013 Festival. The novice divisions also got a shake up with eyecatching runs from Dynaste in the Berkshire Chase, Jezki in the Royal Bond and Arvika Legionairre in the Drinmore. Here Tom Segal ( Racing Post’s Pricewise) gives his view on last weekend’s action:
This weekend the eagerly anticipated clash of Sprinter Sacre and Sanctuaire in the Tingle Creek takes centre stage on Saturday. If you could have forgotten how exciting Sprinter Sacre was last year check out our Champion Chase Contenter YouTube Playlist.
There should be plenty of other action to hold our interest with the Grade 1 Henry VIII Chase on the supporting card at Sandown and the Grand Sefton and Becher Chases over National Fences up at Aintree.
On Sunday the focus switches to Ireland where the clash of Sirs Des Champs, Flemenstar and possibly Cristal Bonus in the John Durkan Memorial Chase should give us a good steer on the relative merits of another bunch of second season chasers.
