The big jump racing meetings this weekend are at Haydock and Ascot.
The Grade 1 Betfair Chase at Haydock takes top billing. The 2011 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Long Run is on a retrieval mission after a disappointing 2011-12 season and is vying with Paul Nicholl’s improving Charlie Hall winner Silvinacio Conti for favouritism. The Giant Bolster, Weird Al and Cannington Brook look like the other likely runners. We have previous winner data and a Betfair Chase discussion thread. Here is the Racing Post Video Preview:
We would also like to here your views on the valuable Betfair Don´t Settle For Less “Fixed Brush” Handicap Hurdle . The Racing Post preview video is here :
The two big races at Ascot are the Coral Ascot Hurdle – Oscar Whisky is among the overnight entries and the Amlin 1965 Chase. The potential clash of Finian’s Rainbow with last seasons novice For Non Stop in the chase could be a weekend highlight.
