The Grade 2 Red Mills Hurdle Trial has three winners of feature races at the Cheltenham Festival on the Roll of Honor within the last decade.
It should be a pointer to Champion Hurdle success bit only Hardy Eustace’s win in 2005 was followed up in that Champion Hurdle (video below), with Newmill winning the year after he landed the Champion Chase and there being a three year gap until Solwhit won the World Hurdle.
Macs Joy finished second here before finsihing runner up in the 2006 Champion Hurdle.
With Faugheen missing the race Kitten Rock looks the most likely Champion Hurdle contender in the 2015 field. Willie Mullins has won the last three renewals and had this to say about his 20015 contender Abbyssial on his website:
