This Saturday Big Bucks will attempt to become just the second nine year old since 1990 to win the Grade 2 three mile hurdle at Newbury.

Other trends indicate that he will maintain his remarkable winning sequence:

  • 8 of the last 10 favourites have won the race
  • 6 winners( (Inglis Drever (2), Baracouda, Deano’s Beeno and Big Bucks( 2) since 1999 came back to win the following year
  • 9 of last 10 winners were rated 163+
