The Greatwood Hurdle is the feature race on the Sunday of the November Cheltenham meeting. It is run over a distance of two miles and 1/2 a furlong. The race has lost some of its lustre in recent seasons with only Sizing Europe subsequently going on to win at the futures festivals ( in Arkle and Champion Chases) . Rooster Booster was the last horse to win both this and the champion hurdle.
