The Grand Sefton Chase is an historic race run over the Aintree Grand National Fences. The race was discontinued in 1965 and brought back as part of the the Becher Chase meeting in 2003. It is run over 2 miles 5 1/2 furlongs with 18 fences to be jumped. Horses taking the challenge are probably more likely to end up in the Topham Chase than the Grand National itself
