Solid selections. Thanks for taking the time to explain your choices. It's tough this time of year to pick a Yankee so I think your strategy and selections are sound. I'm in. Cheers.

Yeah. He ran in this race last year and came 11/20.

Zanndabad was very much talked about on here for Cheltenham and I've just spotted Tony Martin (known to some as "Plotter" Martin) has him entered in the Northumberland Plate this weekend. If he stays in he could be decent option EW at 25/1. According to RP he fits a lot of the trends.

Dan's Blog 24 April 2026 4.02 - Kabral Du Mathan Then we have Kabral Du Mathan in the Select Hurdle. Again, this is another horse who has had a brilliant year - he looked like winning the Stayers' Hurdle at every point, basically, until he jumped the last at Cheltenham, and he just didn't quite...

From memory I thought Skelton was very clear he was staying hurdling. Is my mind playing tricks on me ?

I'm with you on Romeo Coolio. 2.5 is definitely his distance. Over raced last season and over the top by Cheltenham. Really could be a major player for Ryanair. I'm in !

Totally forgot about that. Thanks for the reminder. So slightly different question. Why did she revert to hurdles after Chasing earlier in the season and winning her last Chase by 18 lengths ? Cheltenham Festival 2027 - Jade De Grugy Mares Hurdle or Mares Chase ?

Does anyone know, or heard anything, about Jade De Grugy for next season. Is she staying over hurdles or going Chasing ? In the last 3 years she has bumped in to Golden Ace (4th), Lossiemouth (2nd) and Wodhooh (2nd) at the Festival so she's due a break. Assuming she can jump a fence if she was...

He was totally dominant today and looked sensational. Result was never in doubt. Townend looked confident from the off and just breezed motionless passed FtF. I'd say JP won't be in a rush to go to the Gold Cup in 2027 with FtF. Early Super Yankee - Lossiemouth Champion Hurdle, Il Etait Temps...

After today I think you made a wise call ref The Mourne Rambler and Turners. He hit the line hard and to me looks like 2.5m will suit him better than 2m.

Punchestown Festival is notorious for it isn't it. Wise people keep their money in their pocket for this Festival. The first two G1's have made that decision for me. I'm out. It's basically an end of season free for all and all Spring form goes out the window. As you say a step too far for...

I think they need to hitch a plough to his back and set him to work in a field.

My read is Skelton has The New Lion for The Stayers and Mydaddypaddy for the Champion Hurdle so I am thinking Kabral du Mathan goes Chasing and in my opinion he didn't stay 3 miles so that's leaves Arkle or Jack Richards and surely he is a G1 horse assuming he takes to fences.
