Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Plenty of ante post prices about for aintree meeting.
      impaire was available at 11/2
      murcia @ 12s
Gaelic @ 7s (maybe more, not sure on him)

All went off at shorter sps with much less time and options for horses.

Maybe you're playing the wrong ante post

No matter what way I looked at that race I just couldn't see Gaelic Warrior winning especially with Patrick on board. But fair play he gave him a peach of a ride and ended up an easy winner

As much as I had Gaelic as a saver I'm gutted.

Once IEP & Murcia done the job I cashed a Trixie with GW in, all because Patrick was on board, dare I say influenced by too much noise about his ability.

Still made extremely good profit on the bet, but somewhat silly of me.

I placed the bet pre jockey bookings.

It seems people are perfectly happy to trust Willie's judgement with horses but not his judgement on a horseman.
I've posted before how I think the criticism of Patrick is unduly deserved.
I wouldn't ever consider a horses chances diminished because he was riding, especially over fences.

It looks a pretty modest renewal with no 170 horses entered.

One of his best performances, if not his best, came on his one run over 3 miles at punchestown on decent ground.

Perfectly possible they've been running him over the wrong trip most of his career.

Win this then aim for the king george.

Not convinced by grey dawning or spillanes tower.

Think he has a much better chance of winning this than taking on jonbon. Who runs to 170 like clockwork away from Cheltenham.
              Call me the gaelic whisperer

He always wins the few times i back him

              Apart from the boodles

              He's 3 from 4 for me somehow.

Just a shame about the rule 4

Yeah, was a bad move on my part. Will do my best to ignore the noise in future.

Lossiemouth clipped the hurdle in front of Constitution Hill similar to what brighterdaysahead did in the champion
he's got a bit silly in his hurdling

He's always been millimetres from falling

Unfortunately it's costing him for some reason now

He needs daylight the way he hurdles not in behind plodders in a grade 1 .
I'm one of Nicos biggest fans but he's wanting to win too easily on this horse because he geels he has a point to prove

                              Indeed

His weapons are his jumping and his cruising speed

Both strengths that are seen to best effect going from the front

                              • I've felt from the first couple of times I saw Con Hill that the jockey is never really in control. He looks like the type of horse that does it all himself, and you don't have to do much as a jockey.
Today's fall looked like they were in disagreement.
Nico would do well to just let the horse do it himself like he seemed to do early in his career.

The whole hurdle coming back to him is not an issue if you're taking off at the right time with the right trajectory, and today the horse was wanting a big one and Nico wasn't.

I'm not blaming Nico, I just think this horse should be allowed to be the boss.
