Hello Fat Jockeys,
Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum
We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.
I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

I’ve backed Rubaud 14/1 ew for the opening race because of the ground conditions, he’s not as good as some above him but this meeting can throw mixed results.
In the bowl I have backed Spillanes win only and Djelo 20/1 ew, Djelo isn’t a 3miler but he could get away it with his speed on this track. I do like Grey Dawning but I’ll take him on with the lack of rain.
Two ew price bets really in the hope fields cut up and horses underperform.

Say it quietly as I'm one of his biggest haters but I'd strongly fancy gaelic warrior if he were to run in the bowl.
It looks a pretty modest renewal with no 170 horses entered.
One of his best performances, if not his best, came on his one run over 3 miles at punchestown on decent ground.
Perfectly possible they've been running him over the wrong trip most of his career.
Win this then aim for the king george.
Not convinced by grey dawning or spillanes tower.
Think he has a much better chance of winning this than taking on jonbon. Who runs to 170 like clockwork away from Cheltenham.

….Dr TJ Eckleburg 20-1 e/w in Red Rum of interest for me, been kept back for this. Beat Harpers Brook 30L & Sans Bruit 50L at Chepstow and although a big turn in the weights could confirm the form.
Live decs time, not declared as yet.
Edit; Eckleburg is in.Last edited by Eggs; 1 April 2025, 08:14 AM.

….backing Peter Bowen’s (and Micky Bowen) horses blind at Aintree has proved me well over many years but Queen Kate’s debut Bumper win at Doncaster last month is worth a watch. In behind a wall of horses with nowhere to go entering the final furlong, she was switched wide and still won with a bit in hand.
Firms tend not to take chances with Bowen at Aintree but I’ll be waiting patiently for Queen Kate to be priced up now she’s confirmed.
