  • Aintree Day 3 - AKA 'TKOR Day'

Post your thoughts and bets for day 3.

She obviously has an obvious chance but I can't quite believe the price of West Balboa this morning in what looks a competitive handicap.

I'm keeping some faith with Johnnywho in that one. Although he seems to be going on a fair drift so I'll wait for BOG.

Ile Atlantique I had as as an each way bet to nothing. But a bit concerned what the new tactics mean... With Patrick to play them as well. Bit concerned now but I'm on anyway.

Crebilly did well to finish 2nd at Cheltenham with the way he jumped. Not got enough confidence in him sorting that out to actually have a bet, but hard to beat if he does.

Monkfish back over hurdles, in a race where every runner has question marks to answer. Happy enough chancing him retaining some ability at a double figure price.

Really is a day of keeping blind faith to this point actually

Mr Incredible, Limerick Lace and Kitty's Light in the big one.

I should probably be done after that

Veterans on here will know best, but certainly feels up there as one of if not the strongest national fields in my lifetime.

Hoping for a strong day for Skelton.

First race looks pretty poor. West Balboa sluiced up last year, Aintree record is great and ran well last time with her mark reducing from it as well. Honor Grey the other one of interest.

Brighterdaysahead to win the 2m4. IA is shite and Paul abandoned him. JDS I don't think is much cop either. The others are useless.

Hoping TKOR goes in for everyone on here.

Strong Leader might be a play in the 3m.

Gone for the mares in the National.

            ….won Thursday, lost Friday. Will keep up the strategy of small stakes for a bit of interest;

1.20; Landrake e/w 33-1 (i know but I’ll be sick if he won and went unbacked ); Cuthbert 8-1.
            1.55; Ile Atlantique.
            2.30; KOR; Denmat e/w 20-1
            3.00; Hiddenvalley.
4.00; Panda 66-1 (proud of myself for highlighting him on here at 66-1 and he’s actually turned up); Mr Inredible 56-1 (my biggest winner): Galvin 33-1 (class act, think they love his mark and the ground might just be ok). I’ll be doing the reverse Exacta.
            5.00; Hercule.
            5.35; Electric Mason e/w 40-1

Quite like Skeltons other runner in the opener, Gwennie My Boy.

The king obviously carries the forums money

Hiddenvalley lake was far too big when prices opened, got him antepost.

Found a fifty completes a nice double with mystical power antepost. Think Hercule could be a big danger though so might play a small cover on him.

                  It's another great card.

1.20: I've chanced Chantry House and Lord Snootie at big each way prices, and have the favourite covered in a Skelton yankee that I placed yesterday (Kateria, WB, TKOR and Elaton).

1.55 Brighterdaysahead got a poor ride at Cheltenham and i don't think Jack will make that mistake again. I'm hoping she wins well and then goes over fences next season.

2.30 TKOR (nap). In addition, I've had a few quid each way on Demnat - i have quite liked a couple of his runs this season and can see Aintree playing to his strengths.

3.05: He ran below par at Cheltenham but I'm willing to give Crambo another chance today on a track we already know suits him. 9/1 ew looks a decent play and he's going in the placepot.

                  4.00: In order of preference

                  1. Kitty's Light (33/1)
                  2. Mr Incredible (50/1)
                  3. Chemical Energy (25/1 and betfair SP)
                  4. Galvin (20/1 and 50.0)
                  5. MeetingMeetingofthewaters (16/1)
                  6. Panda Boy (14/1)

5.00: I'd backed Nickle Back in the Manifesto but he's running in this because of the ground and, providing he can settle on the front, i think he could be hard to peg back. 11/1 looks big to me.

5.35: No idea really but will likely throw a few quid on a couple near the off. I won't be repeating last years mistake when I meant to place a £5.50 reverse forecast, but missed the decimal point! One too many beers by that stage.

On Brighterdaysahead FM where do you think Elliott will send her over fences?

Ive taken an early stab at the Turners as he could be light on that sort of distance and he’s putting her in against the boys so clearly rates her highly for all it isn’t the best renewal today.

Agree about the ride, Jack and Paul were just watching each other and both should have forced a better pace.

That would be my guess too at the moment. If she does go over fences, she's not going to be missed in the market for the Mares Chase but I think they might aim higher.

Longshot EW Lucky 15 for pennies...

1.20 Johnsons Blue - won at distance last time out, recording best RPR
1.55 Esprit de Potier - won twice at distance, recording best RPR last time out, Lucinda Russel's stable in form
4.00 Delta Work - looks too big a price for a class horse who gets the trip
5.35 Sorceleur - progressive and Paul Nicholl's stable in form

Good luck all with an interest / stake in TKOR

Main bet of the day is Jimmy Du Seuil. Obviously Brighterdays is a very good horse, but just thought pick was in much better race in Gallaghers and fav has it all to prove still

                            Strong Leader, Hewick

                            Twig, TKOR, Crebilly

                            6 X Cross Doubles

If JP wins National.....I win. Keep it simple.

Turners was one of my early bets. Shattered Love connections being the probably far too simple thought process.

Think she's awfully short today mind. But wins well and goes Turners and I'll be happy in the long run
