    I live round the corner from the racecourse. Heavy rain again. I think they’ll do well to get the Thursday on. Standing water everywhere

      Yip, as Eggs says, it is raining again and has been consistently for a couple of hours now. These clerks are setting a dangerous precedent at Aintee and Cheltenham. They are blatantly lying to trainers and the public to keep the racecards as full as possible. Potentially endangering the lives of horses and jockeys

        To be fair, yesterday in North Wales was brutal with about 6 hours of solid rain. However, by late afternoon it had all dried out because the wind was so strong. It seems to match up with the comments in the RP.

          The rain is now the heaviest it's been today by the race course.

            I agree, surely the jockeys, trainers etc will have to say something ?

            No way has that course got any soft going on it.

              ….steady rain for most of this morning, afternoon remained overcast and quite cool but early evening is finally bringing bits of sunshine. Forecast suggests there might be a little more rain around midnight.

                  …..Aintree weather update, Thursday;

                  According to the Jockey Club, there’s been 5mm of rain in the last 24hrs. It’s currently dry and the skies are quite clear (07.15). I dare say we’ll get the official going in the next hour or so.

                    National; Heavy/Soft
