I live round the corner from the racecourse. Heavy rain again. I think they’ll do well to get the Thursday on. Standing water everywhere

Yip, as Eggs says, it is raining again and has been consistently for a couple of hours now. These clerks are setting a dangerous precedent at Aintee and Cheltenham. They are blatantly lying to trainers and the public to keep the racecards as full as possible. Potentially endangering the lives of horses and jockeys

To be fair, yesterday in North Wales was brutal with about 6 hours of solid rain. However, by late afternoon it had all dried out because the wind was so strong. It seems to match up with the comments in the RP.

….looking like the official going for Day 1 is;
Mildmay; Soft/Havy
National; Heavy/Soft
