We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.
I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Party Business has been smashed in the betting, being as low as 9/2 but 29/4 was available 6 places with Bet365. He was hampered twice in the Martin Pipe by fallers, then raced wide and niggled along but kept finding to eventually finish 5th. Should be dropped out the back and given every chance to get the trip. I can't see him being any higher than that tomorrow so taken the price now as a saver for my other 2 picks.
Emitom off 135 with Rachel on top at 40s with PP/Betfair is too high. I can forgive his last run - ran in the heavy ground at Haydock a month after a heavy ground slog at Lingfield in January, where he finished 2 and 3/4 length behind Top Ville Ben off 145 and now runs 2 and a half months later off a 10 pound lower mark with the best jockey in training on board. The handicapper has given him a fantastic chance in this.
The other one of interest is Pounding Poet at 33s. Tom Lacey has been in good form this season and Stan Sheppard has a great strike rate this season as well. Another one stepping up in trip, he should be held up and produced late. Finished 2nd twice at Aintree this season over the mid trip and his breeding suggests a step up should be within his reach.
14:25 Mersey Novice Hurdle (2m4)
Three Stripe Life is the worthy favourite and I can see the argument that he should probably be shorter, but I'll be taking him on as there are some horses with decent each way chances in this who skipped Cheltenham.
Might I has looked like a step up in trip will suit all season - he is a half brother to Stattler and sired by Fame and glory so I expect quite a bit of improvement. He's got the closest to Constitution Hill, the form of the Haydock run is brilliant behind Jonbon and 14/1 / 16/1 available at the moment with 4 places looks like great each way value to me.
Elle Est Belle's form has been franked all season and presents a danger. The Skelton's have a great record at Aintree and 11s with PP is tempting.
North Lodge doesn't need to improve too much to be involved, but is well found now in the market.
Stage Star is much better than shown at Cheltenham and 11/1 is a fair price for a grade 1 winner.
I don't think Colonel Mustard races like he needs the step up in trip, but his form is pretty solid. Three Stripe Life should have him held though. Good Risk At All is too short for what he's achieved, as is Walking On Air.
Happy with the first two races. Party Business will be one to follow next season. Beauport was unlucky and another for my tracker for next year.
Might I ran a great race. TSL too good but Might I improving slightly up in trip.
My thoughts with connections of Elle Est Belle. She was a fine mare with a great future.
Another Irish horse (Three Stripe Life) makes a grade one novice hurdle look easy - I thought Captain Conby was booked for a place - hopefully ok after the fall.
Looks bad for Elle Est Belle
I’m sitting here with my wife, daughter & son-in-law. I’m drinking rum. My daughter has always been a massive Ruby Walsh fan. When she was growing up, she’d sit on the carpet with my Racing Post and pick a Placepot, nearly all Ruby Walsh.
Daughter just reminded me she was on duty as a Junior Doctor at Aintree in 2010, when Walsh had an horrific fall in a hurdle race before the National. Fate has it she made a beeline when Walsh came in and dealt with his broken bones. A few hours later she witnessed him shouting McCoy home in the National; “come on Champ” he screamed at the telly.
Forgive my indulgence, but an insight to the bravery and sportsmanship of these jockey’s.

I remember someone saying how quiet Ruby is - like he would come into a room and you wouldn't notice it. Heard him at a talk with Paul Nicholls and it was exactly like that - Ruby came in very quietly. I managed to get a post talk question and I asked him to compare Kauto Star and Denman when he first rode them. He immediately said he got Denman beat in the festival 2m5f novices hurdle - quiet but competitive!
Thank goodness Aintree is over, I’m just useless at this meeting. 3 winners in all. Thankfully kept my bets low. At least I have my Dublin racing festival tickets all bought now. Something to look forward too.

1.45 Jonbon / MDC forecast. Could be a burn up in front and MDC should be ridden cold to pick up the pieces. (Placed before Notlongtilmay was a NR - I'd probably leave it now)
2.25 Mexico and Party Business. Reverse forecast as well.
3.00 Dark Raven 2pt win. Crambo will run well. May do him each way.
3.35 Meet and Greet. M&G/Champ/Dashel Drasher reverse forecasts
4.15 Coconut Splash and Beauport. Reverse forecast on those two.
5.15 - Velvet Elvis 1 pt e/w. Will probably add Minella Trump and Vanillier depending on price. Corach Rambler to be added in play.
