Was a really good finish, Jonbon proving again he can battle, was headed just before the last, jumped it better and knuckled down.

Agree El Fab maybe deserves the mark up on being bumped but I don’t think Jonbon wanted to be there that soon like PP yesterday. El Fab was entered in all the Grade 1’s prior to injury, Jonbon has had a tough race at Cheltenham and come out and put in a top performance imo against a fresher/less experienced horse of course.

Pulled miles clear of the third 19 lengths. Both top horses to follow going forward.

I have not played since the Fest but I was amazed at the amount of confidence in Cobblers Dream and the route his rider opted to take

Could easily be a Turner's horse as well though. Maybe more of a galloper?

That's what Aintree is all about!

            Won that well though.

Can't help but feel the Cheltenham run and ground both impacted L'homme Presse though.

Think all four of those are proper Grade 1 chasers. BMG probably the least convincing tbf

So the Topham, don't think I've ever picked the winner of this, anyone have literally any idea before I give up and leave it?

Price drop on Mac Tottie has put me off, and I think I'm mad that I keep coming up with Royal Rendezvous

I'm glad i was wrong about that - Ahoy Senor puts his jumping together and proves what an engine he has. I wonder if the 55 days lay off affected BMG but Ahoy Senor confirmed last year's hurdle win. I think L'Homme Presse will come on for the experience but maybe this came a bit too soon for him. BMG a King George rather than a Gold Cup horse. It will be really interesting to see how they all campaign next year Lucinda all smiles!

If he’d have jumped like that at Cheltenham Ahoy Senor would’ve won the BANC. Major player next season, into 10/1 for the Gold Cup.

Same here mate and i reckon there's many more saying exactly the same ! I toyed with the idea of backing him today but the jumping put me off.

was a much less competitive race than the pipe as well

That was some win by Mac Tottie who was squeezed out and lost his posi early on but crept into contention and suddenly he was challenging the long time leader.
They should call this the Bowen Chase!
