If you believe the O'Learys that Tiger Roll was too high in the handicap, 160 seems high for Delta Work. However, Kennedy seems to think that his enthusiasm for the game is back and that makes his mark interesting. As it stands, the going could be as fast as is permitted these days so topweights have a chance and 14/1 is a fair price.

SMOKING GUN was running a really nice race in the Kim Muir but faded after 3 out and was beaten 31 lengths into 8th.
He was carrying 11st 7lbs which was plenty in that testing ground which I reckon he would have hated.
Smoking Gun did win a soft ground novice hurdle at Limerick in 2018 but all 5 of his other wins have been on ground ranging from good through to yielding.
He's pulled up on 3 occasions over fences and every time it's been either soft or heavy.
But he's run well in all except one of his 9 completed starts on decent ground - winning 5 times.
He won the Porterstown over 3m 5f (good) at Fairyhouse before Christmas and he's 67th in the list of National runners - so he should just about make the cut.
He's on the same 140 mark as in the Kim Muir which leaves him on 9st 11lbs as things stand at Aintree but I can see the weights going up 5lbs which would put him on 10st 2lbs.
The Grand National is usually run on good or goodish ground and that would be right up Smoking Gun's street.
And off that weight I could see him having a great each way chance. He's also the right age at 9.
But best of all is that 365 are offering 150-1 NRNB - that's 30-1 if he comes in 6th.
I was very happy with my Grand National team: Enjoy D'Allen and Run Wild Fred both at 50-1 and Freewheelin Dylan at 100-1.
But that is a smoking NRNB price if we finish up with a good ground Grand National.
2.75pts each way SMOKING GUN (GN) at 150-1 NRNB 1/5th the odds 1-6.

I think it'll be touch and go for Smoking Gun this time.
He's now 62 in the list and after a quick run through I counted up 22 above him who may not turn up - but that's purely guesswork based on their outings (or lack of) this season.
Gordie does have a bit or wriggle room himself with 9 horses from the stable listed above Smoking Gun.
So if he fancies Smoking Gun at the weights and on the prevailing ground I imagine he'll sacrifice something else if it's very tight.
