    What’s Farclas’ new mark? Blown?

      • I don’t think returning horses have a very good record in the race. Probably due to being best handicapped the first time they attempt it?

        • Hedgehunter won it at the second attempt off the top of my head, but yeah I’d imagine it’s not been very common.

....it came 5th, so perhaps not a massive hike & any increase in Farclas’ mark could be off-set by it being a year older & in an age category that produces winners. I thought 50-1 (without boost) was reasonable.

            • Can’t seem to find an updated mark for Farclas. I was on this time around and he didn’t look to be stopping to my eye. The trip was the only question mark for me really and I’d be more confident in a years time if they can protect his mark. Is it possible they’ve left it unchanged?

              • Farclas has no officially published rating in the UK. The handicapper does the Irish horses on a race by race basis.

                His Irish rating is 148.

                  • My Galvin GN bet can’t be cashed out on bet365, is this the same for others?

                      • Yeah likewise, weird they cut him into 16/1 fav but obviously had so many cash out that they've pulled it! Was fine all last night.

                        • I see Escaria Ten has been given a Beecher entry - which has prompted me to take the 50s still on offer for the National with BV.

….this one not looking bad after todays fine effort.

                            • Escaria ten 40/1

With Galvin and RWF having blown their marks and this lad been entered for a spin round the fences in the Becher this seems a good price for what could be elliot’s main hope

Will be well off with Run Wild Fred going forward.
And ran well in a big handicap after his Irish National win off his new mark.

I've not been through the thread so if already been mentioned then
