Just got in, missed most of today’s racing but I’ve gone for Burrows Saint, Minella Times, Farclas, Discorama, Talk is Cheap and Black Lion. It’s such a hard race to win money on so best of luck everyone

Well done to all Minella Times backers. Reading through his form I never would have backed him. Similar to Robin De Carlow last week there was nothing that screamed GN winner to me. Unreal training performance by HDB

Cheers Rufus, this years GN was my best since having both Sunnyhillboy and Neptune Collonges at big prices all those years ago. Unfortunately I was betting with B365 so missed out of the e/w return of Blacklion at 66/1 but overall very happy.

If I’m honest I didn’t win any money on Minella Times. My brother asked me to put some money on MT & Shattered Love and with all the other requests I got sent from family & friends who don’t have online accounts I forgot to put his bets on. Instead of upsetting him after hearing him celebrate on the phone I gave him my winnings.....I did well but it could have been so much better

Last mare to win the race was 70 years ago and all the while they get allowances if she (Mount Ida) was mine I’d be targeting small field average graded races and try taking advantage of the benefit she would receive.
She won a Kim Muir off what, 142 ? And was given 153 for Fairyhouse, on that basis what does the UK handicapper rate her now, 156 ?
Anyone see her winning a G National off 155+ ?
For me the winner is more likely to have hidden their ability better...
