....Sporting Life tipsters give their selections (2 for Discorama):

The Sporting Life and Timeform teams with the horse currently top of their Randox Grand National shortlist and there's plenty of love for Discorama.

The forecast has changed. Plenty of wet stuff now forecast for the few days before the race.
Obvs only a forecast but worth bearing in mind that things may not be quite so black and white in terms of the going for the race....

Paddy's have been shortest on Discorama for a couple of weeks and I've just seen that Frank Hickey (PP trader) is keen on him so it looks like they are completely dodging him.

....seems a bit of momentum behind Discorama, two of the six Sporting Life tipsters (Ben Linfoot & Dan Barber) also selecting it today.

              Yeah, easy to see why.

Do you usually go to the National? I love the buzz of the place and have it on a par with Cheltenham.

Discorama still 25s on Unibet, though they have the race being ran over 5 miles 4 furlongs....

                      Thanks Eggs.

Positive vibes around Dusart - can't wait to see him again.

                      • If the ground has any description of ‘good’ in it, I really struggle to see what beats Cloth Cap if he jumps round. He’s a stone well in, would have his ground, is a proven stayer, looks a much better horse this season (a change in routine the reason) and has a touch of class in a handicap like this (Ladbrokes winner).

He’s already a big winner for me and still my only bet in the race but I’ll be going in again if someone goes 5/1 on the day as another each way bet to nothing.

                          Love the national FM!

Bus load from up here, down to Blackpool for the weekend and obviously to the racing for the big one on the Saturday.

                          Very, very messy indeed

                            • Have done the 3 days for the last few years now - such fun! The atmosphere and experience on course is so different to Cheltenham. So relaxed in comparison. Much better drink options especially and the city is brilliant .

Love them both in their own way. I always take the race season seriously up to Cheltenham and the 6 weeks or so after is just pure enjoyment. Aintree, Sandown, Cheltenham hunter chase evening/Punchestown and finish off at Stratford for their hunter chase evening. The improving weather helps!
